Those working in the turfgrass industry have been aware for some time of the need for a Register of independent and experienced individuals or firms able to provide them with consultancy services. The RIPTA register is maintained for anyone with a need for such consultancy services and is intended to include only those meeting these high standards. The register is maintained by the Register Administrator.
The Register Administrator accepts no responsibility, of any nature, to those making use of the Register. It is not a list of approved Consultants, but merely one of independent agronomists who have the qualifications and experience in accordance with set criteria.
There are many other Consultants in this field including some associated with particular suppliers or manufacturers and the omission from the Register of any consultancy is no indication that it does not provide an excellent service. Our members
All of our members have successfully passed a set number of criteria:
- Hold a recognised first degree or MSc in plant or earth science.
- At least four years’ post-graduate experience as a full-time, independent turfgrass agronomist.
- No association or understanding however informal with any commercial organisation that could influence his or her independence.
- Consultants or their employer must have and maintain insurance including Professional Indemnity insurance that satisfies the requirements of the register administrator.
